Earlier this summer, I purchased a blank sketchbook to participate in ACP’s sketchbook club for 2024. I began filling the pages back in June and finished in early October. I chose to freely draw and not adhere to a specific theme, since I was at first hung-up on what I should specifically do. My sketchbook pages are filled with various studies, including, but not limited to— blind contour, gestures, line studies, and figure drawing. The subjects include objects, people, animals, and things… All in mixed media, ink, pencil, oil pastel, markers, crayons, colored pencils, and more. I also threw in some doodle pages and more expressive pages too! It’s pretty much a hodgepodge of everything I do as an artist and what I love to create.

My sketchbook and its pieces will forever be a part of Arts Council of Princeton’s sketchbook club collection. I hope you can join me to view mine as well as many other participants’ sketchbooks! There will be many artists from all levels at the opening celebration. The opening is free to everyone and will be held in the Taplin Gallery.
